Summer in La Val / La Valle

A real paradise for hikers

In summer, La Val is the ideal place for extraordinary walks immersed in the unspoilt nature of the Dolomites with the world's most unique landscapes. The paths of La Valle are many and suitable for all ages.

Notably those amongst the wonderful Armentara meadows until you reach at the foot of the Santa Croce massif, the sanctuary of the same name.

Another walk worth mentioning is the “Tru de meditaziun” (path of meditation) that leads you to the wonderful church of Santa Barbara, symbol of La Valle. By continuing onwards, you will reach “Ju de Rit” and “Crusc de Rit” where you can enjoy breathtaking views.

Other paths are the “Roda Viles dles” to discover the typical Ladin dwellings, “Tru de paisc” that guides you in and around the village or “Tru di Pra Pidro” to explore the surrounding area of La Val.

For the most passionate hikers, there are the many majestic peaks of the Santa Croce mountain group, Fanes-Senes-Braies nature park, which form the backdrop to the village of La Val. Among these are Mount Pares, Mount Dieci, Mount Nove, Mount Sella di Fanes and Giogo di Sant’Antonio.
Also, La Val offers you the opportunity to take on many other types of summer activities such as horse riding, climbing and hiking, accompanied by attentive and prepared alpine guides, mountain bikes and typical cycling as well as the use of tennis courts and the village sports centre.
